by Tom Snarsky
I tore it up, I lemoned it with my bad
attitude toward everything, no cashew
juice, no withdrawals from the fog
bank, no little animals to exculpateΒ
you, no movement from the blue
crabs, one upside down one
looking dire, the littlest juror
to appear before a similarly
-clawed god, segmented legs
tracing language in the unmoist
air, priced per pound, tell the truth
enjoin the pincers, & the reply:
there was no one in the ocean
this cold, no one this blue
